What’s included

What to wear/bring

Important notes
- Minimum requirement: Valid Open Water certification required. Participants must be able to swim and be medically fit.
- Certification: Awarded upon successful completion of all required dives and theory.
- Sipadan access: Permits are limited and confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Weather: Activities and timing may change due to weather or sea conditions.
- Safety: All sessions follow strict safety protocols and PADI standards.
- Refunds: Cancellations are subject to our refund policy (please refer to booking terms); Permits and park fees are non-refundable once issued.

Itinerary
Day 1:
- Boat departure from Semporna to Mabul Island at 0830 hours
- Arrival at Mabul Island
- You will be briefed regarding the accommodation and program
- Room checked in
- Adventure Dive 1 at 1100 hours.
- Lunch at 1300 hours.
- Adventure Dive 2 at 1500 hours
Day 2:
- Breakfast at 0700 hours
- Adventure Dive 3 at 0900 hours
- Adventure Dive 4 at 1100 hours
- Lunch at 1300 hours
- Adventure Dive 5 at 1500 hours
- Dinner at 1900 hours
Day 3:
- Breakfast at 0700 hours
- Boat departure to Sipadan at 0930 hours
- First Sipadan dive
- Lunch provided
- Second Sipadan dive
- Returning to Mabul at 1500 hours
- Third Dive in Mabul Island
- Return to Semporna
What to Expect from Your Stay
Our accommodation in Mabul is simple, clean, and designed for travellers who value comfort, connection, and local culture — not luxury. Here’s what you can expect:
Rooms & Facilities:
- Basic fan rooms with clean beds and shared bathrooms
- Overwater deck available with stunning sunset views
- Shared bathrooms are located outside the rooms and cleaned regularly
- Electricity runs from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM only
- Outdoor BBQ and social area with hammocks for relaxing
Experience & Atmosphere:
- Relaxed backpacker vibe — cosy, not fancy
- Live music (busking) on some nights by friendly local staff
- Sunset and stargazing right from our deck area
- Walkable access to Kampung Mabul to explore village life
- Support local fishermen by buying fresh seafood directly from the Bajau Laut community

This is a budget-style, community-run stay. It’s best suited for easy-going travellers comfortable with shared spaces, limited electricity hours, and an island lifestyle.
Prefer added comfort? Air-conditioned rooms with 24-hour electricity and a private bathroom are available for an additional RM90 per person, per night (minimum booking of 2 pax).
