This two-day, one-night package includes guided river safaris, jungle trekking, and comfortable accommodation so you can focus on the adventure while we take care of the rest.

    Things to Know Before You Book

    • Minimum 2 pax to book.
    • Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, but chances are high during river cruises.
    • Itinerary may adjust depending on weather or river conditions.
    • No refund for unused sessions due to personal cancellation or weather.

    You’ll be staying in a basic room with air conditioning, designed for comfort and rest after a day of exploring. Meals are included.

    Reaching Sukau is easier than you might think. Whether you’re coming from Sandakan or Semporna, we’ve got options to get you here smoothly and safely.

    Option 1: From Sandakan

    Sandakan is the most common starting point for travellers heading to Kinabatangan.

    • Private transfer: We can arrange a direct land transfer from your Sandakan hotel or airport to your accommodation in Sukau.

    • Sukau Junction Transfer: If you’re using a shared van or bus from Sandakan, you can stop at Sukau Junction. From there, we offer a pickup service to your lodge in Sukau.

    Option 2: From Semporna

    Travelling from Semporna takes longer but is manageable with an early start.

    • Step 1: Take a shared or private van from Semporna to Lahad Datu or straight to Sukau Junction.
      Estimated travel time: 4 – 5 hours
    • Step 2: If dropped at Sukau Junction, we can arrange a pickup to your accommodation in Sukau (refer to the rates above).
      Note: We recommend departing early in the morning to ensure arrival by afternoon river cruise time.

    TERMS & CONDITIONS

    Please take a moment to read through these terms before confirming your booking with The Borneo Nomads. By making a reservation and submitting payment, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined below.

    RESERVATION & CONFIRMATION

    To secure your spot, we require a deposit and confirmation of your travel details.

    • All tour quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue or as stated in the quotation. If we do not receive confirmation within this period, the price and availability may be subject to change.
    • A 50% deposit per person is required to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable and bookings are only confirmed once we receive your deposit along with payment proof. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your tour begins, or by the date stated in your invoice — whichever is earlier.
    • For bookings made less than 30 days before the tour start date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
    • We reserve the right to release or cancel any unconfirmed booking if the deposit has not been received by the due date, without further notice.

    Please note: For international transfers, guests are responsible for any bank or conversion fees. Be sure to confirm the exact payable amount with us before making payment.

    CANCELLATION POLICY

    We understand plans can change. However, as our trips involve advance arrangements, the following cancellation fees apply:

    • 59–90 Days Before Departure: 75% of total package price
    • Within 60 Days of Departure: 100% of total package price
    • No-show on Departure Day: 100% of total package price

    Cancellations must be made in writing via email.

    CHANGES & FORCE MAJEURE

    In rare cases, The Borneo Nomads reserves the right to make necessary adjustments to itineraries, accommodations, or activities due to weather, safety, or operational requirements. We will communicate these changes as early as possible.

    FACILITY & SERVICE LIMITATIONS

    Some destinations may involve basic amenities or ongoing developments. While we do our best to inform you, we recommend guests check with us for the latest updates on facilities and experiences.

    LIABILITY

    By booking with The Borneo Nomads, you acknowledge and accept that participation in our tours and services is at your own risk. You are responsible for your personal safety at all times. The Borneo Nomads shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, damage to property, personal accident, delay, irregularity, or cancellation arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, government regulations, health risks, or force majeure events.

    Travellers are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, travel documents, and meet any health requirements or insurance coverage.
